What is is about extreme challenge that gets out inner emotions working.
There I am, watching the end of the Daytona 500, a sport I don’t have any connection to, and don’t fully grasp the importance of this event to NASCAR fans.
I catch the last 10 minutes. And I am fighting tears when I hear and see the victor express his heart and exultation.
I find myself doing that when hearing of any story of great perseverance in the midst of opponents, enemies, difficulties.
Even better, the winner, Trevor Bayne, who had turned 20 the day before, is apparently a believer and supports missions organizations!
May I be found willing to attempt great things in spite of difficulties.
