Saddest Verse In The Bible

Today I came across the saddest verse in the Bible.  Genesis 3:24.

Genesis 3:24 (NIV)
24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

God’s grandest desire, humans to live with him forever in a perfect place, dashed early into His efforts with humans.  Could you imagine having the perfect gift for your child, and someone else tempts your child, and now your child is unable to enjoy your perfect gift.
