Sarah and I spent the week at The Brook At Bethpage, a retreat place for pastors without charge. You bring your food, they supply everything else, including a decent library.
I read the book pictured below – The Heavenly Man – written by Brother Yun. It tells the story of his journey leading the Chinese underground church, complete with miracles, imprisonment, and torture.
I found myself deeply affected by his wonderful open conversation with God and His Word during his journey. Even this week I have noticed myself “conversing with God” before voicing my complaint.
