Passing Down Memories

Do you remember your favorite candy as a kid? I liked a Marathon bar. Big, long, and only 15 cents! I won't get the opportunity to pass on that memory to my son because marathon bars available at Wal-Mart.

However, I did get a chance to pass on a childhood joy of mine to my son, Hardy Boys books. When Conner and I went to Ohio in October, I saw some of my old books. I offered him $5 if he read one. He has now read about 15 of them. Swallows them whole. Our local library has some. The old one's, not these new-fangled version where they are zipping around in sports cars and tracking cybercriminals with a GPS.

It's an awesome thing to pass on a memory. Try it.
