A few weeks ago I shared a "State of the Church" message with our congregation. We quickly listed off some of our strengths, then I based the message around 4 glaring weaknesses. One of the weaknesses is shoring up.
Connecting people to the church, and the length of time it took do this, was a major problem.
We started a "Pizza with the Pastors" back in August, and had a great turn out. We did another one today, and again had just short of 20 "new" people commit and attend this "date" the church event.
Our "engaged" event is our FLAG 101. Kind of like a membership class. We now have close to 20 adults commited to go through the FLAG 101 next weekend. That is 10% of our Sunday morning attendance! All of these 20 adults have been attending less than 2 months!
God is giving growth! We need space, oh my do we need some more space! We need to be ready to harvest God's blessings.
Please pray for our 40 Days of Community Spiritual Growth Campaign that will start on October 7, as well as our continued fund raising for a modular classroom building.
